First Year Students

Apply using the Texas Common Application at www.applytexas.org. A one-time, non-refundable application fee of $25 is required. Freshman are eligible to receive a fee waiver when they submit the SAT or ACT fee waiver or send proof that they are eligible for, or receive, free or reduced lunches at school. Transfer students are eligible to fee waiver when they submit a copy of their financial aid award letter showing that they received a Pell grant or other need-based scholarship within the past year. Waivers can be uploaded directly to your personalized URL at go.sulross.edu.

Admissions Personal URL (PURL)

Within 24 hours of completing the ApplyTexas application to Sul Ross State University, all applicants will be requested to complete their access (user ID and password) to their personalized admissions portal (Personal URL or PURL). Through their PURL, applicants can check their admissions status, view their admissions checklist, submit requested documents, meet their Enrollment Specialist, schedule an appointment with their academic advisor, schedule an appointment with a Financial Aid Counselor, schedule an appointment with a faculty member in your chosen Program of Study, and enroll in upcoming campus events such as New Student Orientation, Sully Showcase, or Family Day.
